Research Interest:

The low grade pro-inflammation that accompanies advancing age causes arterial wall thickening and stiffening. Senescent cells showed an altered secretome profile termed the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP), which may contribute to the inflammation. My primary interest is exploring the mechanism in the age-related arterial remodeling and endothelial dysfunction, especially the relationship between the telomere uncapping and SASP in endothelial cell as well as vascular smooth muscle cells during aging. I am also interested in how the telomere function impact the homeostasis of vascular system.
