Congrats to Dr. Walker on recent publication!

Dr. Ashley Walker recently had a paper accepted to The Journal of Experimental Gerontology titled, “Age-related arterial telomere uncapping and senescence is greater in women compared with men”. This article looks at the role of sex differences in arterial telomere length, uncapping and senescence. We anticipate it will have a large impact on the field as it shows menopause induces greater changes in uncapping and senescence than aging in men across the same age range. Furthermore, it demonstrates that cardiovascular risk factor correlates for telomere uncapping differ between men and women.
